Broadway Pole Vault
In the latest IAAF Inside Athletics episode Ato Boldon takes us behind the scenes of last month’s IAAF Kids’ Athletics event on Broadway.
The event in New York City took the phrase taking track and field out on the streets to a whole new level – literally.
Some of the world’s best pole vaulters jumped against the impressive backdrop of the Empire State Building, while local children competed alongside their track and field heroes.
Jenn Suhr, Yohan Blake and Maurice Greene all captained their respective teams in a variety of running, jumping and throwing competitions.
