The results are in and you have voted 10,000m champion Mo Farah as your Performance of Day 1!
The Brit received an incredible 47.04% of the votes, of which half consisted of the website vote below and half of a live WeChat vote amongst spectators in the stadium during Day two's morning session. His 10,000m gold was his sixth consecutive global title (1x gold in Daegu 2011, 2x gold in London 2012, 2x gold in Moscow 2013, 1x gold in Beijing 2015) and he has yet another chance to add a further medal to his impressive tally when he lines up for the 5000m later this week.

Of course cheering on your favourite athletes at the world championships is one thing, but we want the fan experience to go further than that. The IAAF, in conjunction with Official Partner adidas, is asking you, the fan, to vote for your favourite performance of each day.
After every evening session, a panel of experts will pick three athletes, who in any shape or form grabbed their imagination and will leave it to you to choose the winner.
Today's shortlist features a teenage history maker, a home hopes destroyer and a quadruple world champion.
Ghirmay Ghebreslassie
The 19-year-old Eritrean defied all odds by taking the men's marathon title in 2:12:28. In the scorching Beijing heat he made history in becoming the youngest ever winner of any road event in world championship history.
Christina Schwanitz
It looked like a fairytale opening day for China as Lijiao Gong wowed the home crowd with an opening throw of 20.30m. But it was Germany's Schwanitz, who managed to keep a cool head and beat the local favourite on the home stretch with a 20.37m fourth round throw. It takes some balls of steel to hold it together like that.

Is there anything this man can't do? Today the Brit stormed to his fourth world championship title on the track as he won the 10,000m in his usual fashion. His winning time of 27:01.13 also broke the existing Bird's Nest stadium record by three hundredth of a second.
